Join our discounted clinics at the Bike Bash event at Ride Kanuga Bike Park, hosted by Dirt Skrrts.
Tackle Drops With Confidence: Interested in being more intentional and confident when riding drops at the bike park or natural drops out on the trail? Join us for this intro to drops clinic to dial in your ability for different size and shape drops when approaching at different speeds. We’ll focus on the fundamental skills of how to press, poke, and/or absorb each drop and how to dial each of those skills up/down intentionally.
-
This clinic is for women, woman-identifying, and non-binary individuals.
This clinic is appropriate for all level riders wanting to learn to drops with more intention, control, and confidence.
Riders who have never had their wheels off the ground will learn proper technique to get started, get PLENTY of repeatable practice on smaller drops, AND be able to ride the bigger drops as well.
Intermediate level drop riders will benefit from going back to basics, refining the essential fundamentals to drop with control.
-
The Lead instructor for this clinic will be Tiffany Litsey or Whitney Houck, both certified Level 2 “AIR Instructors” through the PMBIA.
-
This is a small group clinic with a maximum of 6 people.
We’ll start with an intro to listen to your previous experience and goals, then set expectations and a plan for the clinic
Then, we’ll move into a skills assessment and move through the essential pre-requisite skills including Body Position / Balance and creating effective “Press, Absorb, Poke” technique in an open area.
We’ll then start with a small drop to get the feel for it. After we get comfortable and consistent on that drop, we’ll incorporate other drops to get lots of practice and feedback. As always, we need to dial back the challenge of the terrain to be able to actually practice new things!
