-
This lesson is for intermediate to advanced riders who are interested in progressing their ability on natural surface Pisgah Trails.
Riders should already have a functional understanding of fundamentals and want to work higher level technique with an experienced coach.
Riders should also be ready for a big day in remote terrain. Expect long climbs and long descents!
-
This lesson requires the instructor to be a certified “Level 2 Instructor” through the PMBIA. This means they have gone through specific training and evaluation on teaching advanced level riders in advanced level terrain.
Level 3 and 4 instructors can also teach this lesson.
Certifications ensure instructors follow proven teaching techniques, excellent risk management, and ability to offer accurate feedback to help you progress in a safe, intentional, and controlled way.
You can choose between our Head Coach - Josh Whitmore or other certified instructors in the availability calendars below.
-
We’ll start by listening to your specific goals, do a skills assessment to understand your current ability, then design a custom lesson that will help you reach your goals.
Depending on your starting ability, we may spend some time in an open area refiing basics, but aim to get practicing on trails quickly.
Pisgah is characterized by long climbs (often on gated double-tack), followed by long gnarly descents filled with roots, rocks, and plenty of loamy black dirt.
